Can AQL be used for practical data integration problems? In my review on Friday of some cloud-based data analysis platforms (i.e. Apache Spark), it’s quite clear that current data science frameworks have data integration capabilities.
So Apache Spark could be viewed as a generic data integration tool. It’s described here as ‘a distributed SQL Engine framework that allows Joining of several data sources such as Hadoop Files, Hive, Cassandra,JDBC/ODBC data sources and others.’
